- Q: How much does certification cost?
A: The cost depends on which program you're participating in and, in some cases, where you are taking the program. For all designations other than the Certified Cargo Security Professional (CCSP), the price is all-inclusive and covers: all required courses for that designation, the certification application and testing fee, the certification kit and membership for one year in NATMI.
Pricing for Certification Programs:
Certified Director of Safety and Certified Safety Supervisor (CDS/CSS): $1,295 for full 4.5 day program or $1,195 if you opt to test out of the Motor Fleet Safety Basics course (first two days of program; remaining 2.5 days in classroom still required).*
* Prices vary in Canadian provinces and some states. Currently PA, GA and TN program fees differ from NATMI standard pricing. For specifics, see the individual registration pages on the course schedule.Certified Driver Trainer (CDT) and Certified Supervisor of Maintenance/Equipment (CSM/E): $900
Certified Director of Maintenance/Equipment (CDM/E): $1,295
Certified Cargo Security Professional (CCSP): Although the CCSP test prep course is not required to become certified, it is highly recommended. The price for the test prep course is $300 members/$360 non-members. The exam fee is $350 members/$450 non-members.
