College degree - is it required for certification?

  1. Q: Is a college degree required for certification?

A: No.  If you have a 4-year college degree, it reduces by one year the number of years of job experience required for the CDS or CDM/E designations.  Instead of 5 years of experience in safety/maintenance management, applicants with a 4-year degree only need to have 4 years of experience.
